Good morrow gentle readers :)

Good news, I am free to shower without a plastic bag on my arm again, Huzzah. Still with the good news must come the bad :( The doctors have told me that the fracture in my wrist and chip off my bone are not new injuries and were not sustained when I fell off my bike :| They're not exactly sure how old the injuries are at all and so I have to go back and have an MRI scan on my wrist to access the damage further. Until then I get to wear this nifty wrist brace thing which, while my movement it still fairly inhibited, I can remove to shower. So there it is yet another saga beginning to unfold surrounding my bones :(

My trip to Queensland grows ever closer, one more weekend of nightshifts (with the lovely Mariel) before I pack my bags and head off for a couple of weeks.

Anyways people as always look after yourselves... and each other :)

Well it's official i'm totally over this bloddy cast thing :( It's heavy, itchy, loose fitting and frankly starting to develop a funny odour. Still going back to the hospital on Wednesday so even if i have to keep it on for a few more weeks I'm going to get a new one put on. Why is it that plaster casts are still used, i guess cos they're cheep. Still with all the advancements in technology you'd think they would have come up with a comfortable, light weight alternative that you can get wet in the shower in stead of wrapping yourself in plastic grrrr. I know what you're thinking, 'Get over it already' and i guess you are right :P

Got a big week planned culminating in a night out on Friday with some mates down the Bay, should be sweet.

Training Wheels Required

Well last Saturday night was spent in the emergency dept of the Royal Adelaide Hospital :( While making my way to work on my push bike, in an attempt to fit some excercise into my schedule, i some how managed to get airborne before thumping onto the very unforgiving bitumen covering Findon Rd. Not really sure what i hit but i managed to graze my whole right side and fracture the end of one of the arm bones near my wrist, which is now in a cast :( Hopefully it's not as bad as it sounds and i have a follow up appointment next week to asess the damage.Cat did a great job of bandaging me up and then taking me into the hospital to get me fixed up, Thanx Cat :) The boys were just impressed that i was sober for this trip to the emergency dept, which sadly can't be said of the last few times :P

I thought trying to type with one hand in plaster was tough, but we had a cards evening the other night and i discovered trying to hold ten cards in a plastered hand was tough. Still somehow managed to give it a go and nearly came out on top in the end. Possibly the most frustrating thing is i can't play Woodsie 05 at the moment. Stuck at home and i can't play playstation aghhhhhhhhh.

Well hello ppl :)

Hope everyone had a good christmas, despite having to work i rather enjoyed Christmas 04. I've been a little lazy on my hiatus over the New Years break but what did you guys expect :P As for NYE 05, well lets just say it was ok. There was beer and tequilla so i guess it wasn't all bad.
Not much else to report atm so i'm not going to bother, catch y'all on the flipside!

Am i a champion paper tosser? Perhaps :) Whilst looking over a few quality sites tonight I have come across this gem of a flash game called Paper Toss. Virtual office waste paper basketball complete with a fan altering the wind conditions experienced with every throw, niiiice :)
How addictive, so far my best is thirteen consecutive baskets but no doubt a bigger streak is just around the corner :P

I came across the Paper Toss after taking 3 days to complete all 40 levels of Grid Lock. I got stuck on 34 and one or two of the other levels and needed to take a few hours (or overnight :P) breaks to approach the puzzle with a fresh face. I was a little disappointed there was no congratulatory message when I finished it :( Still it was worth doing and could be easily attempted again as I fluked some of the levels and can't remember how I finished them.

Just thought I'd share these gems with you, now get cracking and see how many baskets you can get and perhaps dethrown me as the champion tosser, of paper of course you sick bastards!!!!

Well bugger me I think I just heard something land on the roof!! Either its the jolly old fat man come to visit or the air conditioning thingo that always makes that sound at night. Oh well I guess I'll have to try not to be so naughty next year :P

Yes people it's Christmas morning and I'm working my way through another nightshift. Christmas day will be a tight schedule of sleep and family dinner followed by more work.

Was a busy week with a trip into Timewarp mid-week with the lads where we ran into the good Reverend. I'm assured a good night was had by all accompanied by the mandatory stop at the Australian Pizza House on West Terrace to finish the night. The strangest/funniest part of the night was the cab ride home with a cabbie who just talked about sex and hookers the whole way home. Several stories which we could have done with out hearing were relayed, some in graphic detail and in most cases almost certainly bullshit ;) Still good for a laugh the next day.

Well hello there folks :)

Great night on Saturday night, took the night off work and went out on the town with some old friends. Was great catching up with every one and if I ever get around to it I'll post the pics. I'm don't think the dance floor has ever seen the likes of me, and I'm not sure but I may have left charred marks on the pine after scorching my way across it on numerous occasions.
And so we're back at work wondering if that last scotch was such a great idea, damn straight it was there's always time for one for the road :P

Had dinner with the lads last night at a delightful little Malaysian place followed by a movie, ‘Team America’. The movie was hilariously funny in parts and provided some light relief for a Thursday night. Almost as funny was when Clinton ate a piece of chili, part of the salad which was served under his salt and pepper squid. Poor chap had to go inside in search of beer to put out the fire which had engulfed his mouth (not that beer helps that much). Shades of Lisa sitting at the table announcing she could ‘see through time’ after sampling Apu’s cooking :)

Another successful outing at Intencity after which I was again undefeated on the air hockey tables, do I detect a disturbing trend developing here people :) The night however wasn’t all plain sailing however after an unfortunate altercation at the Daytona machines. A very rude, and fortunate to still be standing, young man refused to vacate his seat on the machines when it was clear I was waiting. Lets just say a brief verbal exchange ensued after which it was made clear he wasn’t moving so instead of escalating the issue further I walked away *several deep breaths* You know we’re living in a society here people!!

Well I’m officially ready for Christmas. The pressies are bought and, while not yet wrapped, will soon be nestled beneath the tree. Hoorah :)

Went to see Ocean’s Twelve last night with the boys and while the movie was good the more notable events of the evening took prior to entering the cinema in Intencity. I was undefeated on the air hockey table, but more impressively managed to nail Stevo in the crotch with the puck! What’s even funnier is he was playing someone else on the next table over when a well struck, but slightly errant, shot lifted off the table to catch him sweetly in the groin :) Play had to be suspended for a short period for the laughing to subside (from all those except Stevo) upon which I continued to dish out a hockey lesson to another unsuspecting individual.

Perhaps they’ll exact revenge the next time we visit but until then I shall remain the undisputed air hockey champion of the friendship :p

Well Christmas is nearly here, so I guess I'd better get into gear and pick up some pressies for the family. Looks like it will be a big week then, I've already got plans for tennis and I might try squeeze in a round of golf before I have to return to work next Friday night :)

My New Blue Tactical Pants Retaining System

Well it's official, I now have my blue belt in martial arts :p I don't want to hear the words 10 and 10 anytime in the next few weeks (ppl be warned!!) Still I had it easier than my mate Sean, poor bastard, don't think I've ever seen him look so exhausted, still now he's a second degree black belt so it was well worth the effort.
Was good news all round really with all those from our club who attempted the grading passing, good work people :)

Had a huge win at the bingo yesterday, all of five dollars!! When you factor in the initial outlay and expenses for the day.... Well at least my Grandma fared a little better :) Still that's the nature of the gambling beast whom Homer rightly dubbed 'Gamblor'

Last night was my last martial arts training session before the grading on Saturday. Hopefully by Saturday afternoon I’ll be switching my yellow belt for a blue belt. I only started in March of this year so I’m quite pleased with my progress thus far. The friend who convinced me to join his club is going for his senior second degree black belt, a tough ask. Still should be a good day all round I think.
Fairly happy that we managed to salvage some pride last night against the Kiwi's (all be it just :p) and have no doubts we'll wrap up the series in Brisbane on Friday :|

Aberdeen FC Aiight

The shocking loss last night in the cricket aside, this year is turning into a ripper season for my football teams of both codes, AFL and soccer. Having stiched up the premiership back in September the Power have picked up what will hopefully be some handy recruits to aid in their premiership defence.
But perhaps the more impressive news is the performance of the Aberdeen Football Club in the Scottish Premier League. The boys are currently situated third on the ladder at the midway point of the season, surpassed only by Celtic and Rangers. The 3-2 win over Kilmarnock on Saturday has left them only 7 points, just shy of 2 wins, behind league leaders Celtic.
Considering the lads have struggled in recent seasons i'm hoping their current form will continue into the new year.

Well thats another weekend of nightshifts just about done and dusted. I'm looking forward to getting back into Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005 during the week. I picked the game up a couple of weeks back and have already beaten the man himself :P The game play is fantastic and the graphics are getting really realistic, in short i'd rate it 09/10.

Despite the ‘speel’ by Clinton in his blog I am citing medical reasons for my dismal performance in last nights fitness challenge . Not sure which old injury I’m going to run with yet but I’ll settle on one in the next few days :p Thanks for the reality check Clint, maybe I should shoot a few rounds on the course instead of on the PS2.

Well hello there and welcome to the highly anticipated blog of Jimbo :p

It is with great sadness that i start this blog with the shocking news that the Kiwi's have beaten us in the cricket tonight, crazy i know but sadly true. Needing 32 off the last 3 overs the Black Caps punished some late wayard bowling from Michael Kasprowicz scoring 22 runs in one over, to beat us by 4 wickets with a couple of balls to spare. A black day indeed :(
